While that’s partially right, it also adds additional elements because those so-called girls aren’t actually normal as part of society. As a harem show, you’d expect all the girls drooling over him. Date a Live wastes no time adapting this concept by having Shido Itsuka date various girls/spirits, earn their feelings, and kiss them to seal the deal.
